EPAL is a consortium of libraries in the El Paso area. It's members along with the alliance of several local associate partners put their skills and resources together on different projects for mutual benefits, but more importantly, to benefit the surrounding communities.
 
              

Purpose

The Purpose of EPAL is to strengthen the delivery of resources for information and research through the development of cooperative programs and services in the El Paso region and surrounding area.

Brief History

In December of 2000, the El Paso Area Libraries (EPAL) consortium was established by Mayor Carlos Ramirez, working in cooperation with UTEP, EPCC, area school districts, Region XIX, El Paso City and County libraries to better serve the West Texas community.
